IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR COMPUTER IN FOR SERVICE
If possible, first back up all your important information.
Try to write down the nature of the problem and when it started and when it happens.
- If you cannot save your information WRITE DOWN on paper your important files.
- Bring all your system CDs or DVDs with you.
If you have a laptop, bring the AC charger
WHEN CHECKING IN AT THE SERVICE COUNTER
- If you information is important, let the service person know and make sure that it is written down on your service work order.
- Find out the HOWs
How much will it cost?
How long will it take to diagnose?
How long to fix?
WHEN PICKING UP AFTER THE REPAIR IS COMPLETED
First verify the problem was corrected.
- Backup your important data first.
- Try to test the computer off the internet for awhile unless your problem was that you could not get on the internet.
- Upate and run your antivirus and spyware protection software.
